shrtlst terms of service

Draft for review. This text is not yet in effect.

Version 0.2 · Draft updated: 13 October 2026

These are beta terms. Review by legal counsel is pending.

These terms are an agreement between Scicolone Consulting FZ-LLC, a free zone limited liability company registered with the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone under number 0000004092258, services licence 47034656, at FDBC1714, Compass Building, Al Shohada Road, Al Hamra Industrial Zone-FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates (“shrtlst”, “we”, “us”), and the agency or business you use shrtlst for (“you”). They cover the shrtlst website and app.

1. Accepting these terms

You accept these terms when you create an account. If you create an account for an agency or business, you confirm that you can accept them on its behalf. shrtlst is for professionals aged 18 or over acting for a business, not for consumers.

Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal data. When we handle candidate information for you, our Data Processing Addendum also applies. If they conflict, the Data Processing Addendum prevails on data protection.

2. A free beta by invitation

shrtlst is in beta. Access is by invitation and currently free.

  • Features may change, be limited or stop working while we improve them.
  • There is no uptime commitment and support is best effort.
  • We may end the beta or start charging. We’ll give workspace owners at least 30 days’ notice, and you won’t pay anything unless you agree to a price.

Free runs for feedback. When your workspace’s credits are too low for a search, you can tell us something about shrtlst and get one free run (one search’s worth of credits) for the workspace.

  • A free run is a service credit. It has no cash value, can’t be exchanged, sold or transferred, and ends with the beta or the workspace.
  • At most 3 a day per person (Dubai time), 21 in 7 days, and 6 a day per workspace; only while the credits are too low for a search.
  • What you write is feedback for us: don’t include candidate details. We may use it to improve shrtlst.
  • We may change or end free runs at any time, and void free runs that came from abuse.

Referrals (“Put a headhunter forward”). When we offer it, you can send your own link to a headhunter at another firm. If they request access through it, their request goes to the front of the waiting list; we still decide on every request. When they create their account we ask them to confirm that you put them forward; nothing counts without that. When their first search in their own workspace finishes with at least one company, the workspace you copied the link from gets one free run (one search’s worth of credits). Anyone who opens your link sees your first name and initial.

  • A free run is a service credit. It has no cash value, can’t be exchanged, sold or transferred, and ends with the beta or the workspace.
  • At most 5 free runs from referrals per workspace in a calendar month (Dubai time); more land the following month.
  • Referring yourself, a colleague at your own firm, someone who already has an account or has already asked, or anyone through fake or duplicate accounts doesn’t count. Add colleagues from your workspace instead.
  • We may change or end referrals at any time. If we find abuse, we may void free runs that came from it and suspend the link.

3. Accounts and workspaces

  • Use your own account and keep your password safe. Tell us from the app (Help → Report a problem) or by replying to any email from shrtlst if you think someone else has used it.
  • The workspace owner invites members. The owner of each candidate chooses which colleagues can read them.
  • Remove access for people who leave your agency.
  • Invitation links are personal. Don’t forward them.

4. What shrtlst does, and your judgement

shrtlst suggests GCC companies that may fit a candidate. It checks each company on its official website and shows the sources. It explains why each company may fit and writes a pitch that doesn’t name the candidate.

  • Fit reasons are inferences, not facts. Check the sources before you rely on them.
  • You make every decision. shrtlst doesn’t evaluate, rank or decide anything about candidates, and you shouldn’t use it to.
  • shrtlst never contacts companies or people. You choose what to send, to whom and when, using your own tools.
  • Company information can be wrong or out of date. We don’t guarantee that a company is hiring or that it will reply.

5. Candidate information and your authority

You keep all rights in what you add to shrtlst. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide, secure and support shrtlst.

Before adding a candidate, you confirm: “I’m authorised to process this candidate’s information for business development research.” This means:

  • you have a lawful basis for the processing, such as the candidate’s agreement;
  • you have given the candidate any notice the law requires;
  • you will handle their information according to the laws that apply to you.

We don’t sell candidate information, share it between customers, or use it to train any model.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t use shrtlst to:

  • add someone’s information without the authority described in section 5;
  • add sensitive information that a search doesn’t need, such as health, religion, ethnicity, political views, or identity or passport numbers, or any information about children;
  • filter companies or candidates on discriminatory grounds;
  • make automated decisions about a candidate’s employment;
  • send unsolicited messages in breach of anti-spam laws, or claim to act for a company or person you don’t represent;
  • copy, scrape or resell shrtlst’s results or company data, or build a competing database from them;
  • get around workspace boundaries, usage limits or security, or upload malicious files;
  • break any law.

We may suspend access that puts other customers, candidates or shrtlst at risk (section 10).

7. Results, our IP and third-party marks

  • You may use the results and pitches shrtlst creates for you in your recruitment work.
  • We keep all rights in shrtlst itself: the software, the company catalogue, the methods and templates.
  • If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything, and we won’t identify you.
  • shrtlst links to company websites and to outreach tools you may use. They belong to their owners and aren’t ours. The logos of those tools identify them; they don’t mean the owners endorse shrtlst.

8. Confidentiality

Each of us will keep the other’s non-public information confidential and use it only for this agreement. This doesn’t cover information that is public, already known or independently developed. If the law forces disclosure, the party disclosing will tell the other first where allowed.

9. Data protection

Our Privacy policy and Data Processing Addendum explain our duties. We act as processor for candidate information and as controller for account information. Our sub-processor list names the providers we use.

10. Suspension and ending

  • You can stop using shrtlst at any time and ask us to delete your account or workspace.
  • We can suspend access straight away if there’s a credible security risk, unlawful use or a serious breach of these terms. We’ll tell you why where we can, and restore access once the issue is fixed.
  • If the beta ends or we close your workspace, we’ll give the owner 30 days’ notice. Workspace data is then deleted as described in our Privacy policy.

11. The service as it is

To the maximum extent the law allows, shrtlst is provided “as is” and “as available” during the beta. We don’t promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its results are accurate or complete.

12. Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, we’re not liable for:

  • lost placements, fees, revenue or opportunities;
  • indirect or consequential loss;
  • loss caused by inaccurate or incomplete AI-generated content.

The liability terms for this beta remain subject to review by legal counsel.

Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

14. Changes and contact

We show the version and date at the top of these terms. We’ll tell workspace owners about material changes at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don’t agree, you can stop using shrtlst.
